Swatch Sunday: Sonia Kashuk Eye on Neutral 02

Sonia Kashuk Eye on Neutral 02 palette

If there’s a basic palette out there that everyone needs, it’s the Sonia Kashuk Eye on Neutral 02 palette. (Sidenote, why the heck is it 02? Was there a 01 at some point?) Some people may balk at the price tag (it’s $20 USD) since it’s a drugstore-bought item at Target, but this palette isĀ full of mattes that help complete EVERY look. Brow bone highlighting shades? Got it. Transition shades? Got it. Outer corner or lid shades? Got it. Need a black or dark tone to deepen up your look? Got it.

You cannot go wrong with this palette. It’s not the most exciting thing to look at, but it definitely is one of the most useful ones!

  1. Really great harmony of Colors, and nice price, but like a lot of girls I have too much neutral palette, even though the neutrals continue to be my favs !!!!

    1. I know right? There’s soooo many neutral palettes out there now that it’s hard to see any NEW neutral shades at this point! Still, definitely a lovely palette!

  2. What a nice work horse! I love neutral palettes, I am a boring individual, I know. Actually, I went to Ulta on Friday to get TooFaced “Peanut butter and Jelly”. I just kept thinking about your review, plus it’s limited, plus only at Ulta, plus workable orangey colors. Anyways, I got it, and the freaking “Naked Ultimate Basics” by Urban Decay, as well. The quality is great (all matte, except, the lightest one, I think), but I just couldn’t resist the brush. I have a thing for small brushes (I loved small dolls when I was little). My favorite brushes are Trish McEvoy (tiny and lucite handle) and travel ones by Laura Mercier (shorter than regular ones). Anyways, the shadows are great, and the brush is great, too.
Also, thank you for such an enabling “PB&J” review! I wore the eye shadows on Sunday, and I loved them. The colors looked so much better than at the store — stupid daytime lamps made the lightest colors look kind of the same, and it took me 2 trips to make the plunge, but I am glad I did!

    1. I am sooooo glad you got the PB&J palette! Ahhhh! I love that palette so, so much! I think they’ve actually made it a permanent product now (smart move Too Faced!), but yes, it’s still limited to Ulta! (Which is a shame – international people want it too!) So glad you’re loving your palette. And did you see they’re coming out with a Peanut Butter and Honey palette for Spring 2017??? Be still, my heart!

I’ve never looked into Trish McEvoy brushes before! I’ll have to go take a peek!
