With Canada Day coming up soon, it’s time to get your nails into the spirit of it all with some Canada Day decals! Nail Polish Canada kindly sent me a set of decals to try out and ten of you will be lucky enough to receive them as well (see bottom of this post for more details).
This was my first ever time trying nail decals out and I was pleasantly surprised at just how easy it was with these What’s Up Nail ones! I decided to alternate the negative space on my nails and used the maple leaf decal on some nails and the cutout maple leaf on others.
With the decals in place, I then took to applying red polish on a sponge and sponging it on the space where the decal wasn’t covering. On some nails that meant around my whole nail, and on others it meant keeping it contained within the maple leaf.
Once finished, I added a silver holo glitter top coat and then my Seche Vive top coat to seal it all up. You can, of course, do it without the silver holo, but if I can add glitter somewhere, I’ll definitely do it!
