Bite Beauty’s Agave Lip Care Range (inc. new Lavender Lip Mask!)

Bite Beauty Everyday Agave Lip Collection

My jaw just about fell on the floor when this PR package by Bite Beauty showed up a few weeks ago. It’s a lip care lover’s loveliest dream: every single shade of their Agave Lip Mask (including their new Lavender shade!), the Agave Sugar Lip Scrub and the Agave Lip Balm. Sadly, the entire package you see above isn’t available for purchase, but it does give me the opportunity to talk more in depth about Bite‘s glorious Agave range.

The Agave Lip Masks are billed as “an intensive nightly recovery lip mask to soothe lips and replenish moisture”. The formula contains agave nectar and jojoba oil which nourishes and hydrates the lips so that you wake up with softer lips. I do actually wear these overnight (and I’ve been busting through a previously purchased Maple one), but they can also be worn as a regular ole lip balm throughout the day.

While Bite‘s price point is a bit up there for some people ($30 CAD/$26 USD for one of the lip masks), there’s actually a ton of product in these tubes! There’s 15 grams/0.52 ounces which may not sound/look like a lot, but in terms of measurements… that is HALF the size of a regular bottle of foundation! Bet you never thought of it like that!

Bite has released more and more shades/flavours over time, and the Maple one has definitely been a staple of mine since it launched with the Canadian lipstick collection a few years ago. Bite‘s latest shade launch is Lavender, and oh wow does it EVER smell like lavender! The Agave Lip Masks, for the most part, smell and taste very sweet – the Lavender one is quite different in this sense as it smells a LOT like lavender with only a little bit of sweetness.

One last note on the packaging – all the Lip Masks come sealed which helps to keep the product fresh. Turn the cap over and pierce it with the needle-like nub on the inside of the cap and you’ll be able to poke an easy hole through the seal.

As you can see, some of the lip masks pack more colour than the others, but these are incredibly heavy swatches. On the lips everything becomes far more sheered out – even the darkest two colours (Smashed and Maple) become very, very sheer washes of colour. This makes for easy application on the go, which is something I always appreciate in a lip balm/mask!

Rounding out Bite‘s Agave range is their Sugar Lip Scrub (a potted scrub) and Agave Lip Balm (a stick balm much like their Multisticks).

Sadly, the Agave Sugar Lip Scrub isn’t really to my liking. While it tastes phenomenal on the lips, fundamentally I just don’t like that there isn’t enough scrubby sugar particles in the formula. I feel like the base is quite thick and luxurious, but overall I personally like a lot more sugar particles in my lip scrubs so this one gets a pass from me.

The Agave Lip Balm is much easier for on the go than the Lip Masks, which may suit a lot more people. I know not everyone likes using their fingers to apply lip balm, so this may be an easier option for slapping on a nourishing lip balm. It has a slightly firmer texture than the Lip Masks (makes sense – it is a solid balm after all!).

Final Thoughts

The Bite Beauty Agave Lip Masks are some of my absolute favourite lip care products in the world. Like a true Canadian, my favourite flavour is Maple and that’s the one I’d recommend the most… but honestly they’re all of the same excellent quality. It’s just a matter of finding the shade and scent that suits you the best. I know there’s a lot of lavender lovers out there, so you guys are going to be over the moon for the new scent!

As for the Agave Lip Scrub, that one gets a pass for me, but the Agave Lip Balm is a quick and easy lip saviour for on to the go. It’s one of those toss in your bags and use as needed products – quick, easy, and efficient.

  1. I have a trial size lipstick from bite, but i don’t really like the colour. I’d love to try one of these though, Maple sounds amazing! Thank you for the chance!

    1. Good luck Sara!! That’s too bad about the colour re: your mini. I find they do a lot of darker neutrals for the minis which I’m not always in love with myself!

  2. Aaah so glad Maple is included in this giveaway! I was so bummed when I missed it when it was limited edition, so thank you for hosting this giveaway! Keeping my fingers crossed 🙂

    1. Good luck Neepa! I actually think Maple is part of the permanent range now as I can see it on both Sephora Canada and Sephora USA. I’m super regretful I never got any of the maple lipsticks though. Ugggggh. 🙁

  3. Oh, I want to try maple and champagne. I personally don’t like the scrub, either, but have heard the new one in the Wet n Wild flights of fancy collection is really good!

    1. I was semi-intrigued by the WnW one until I heard that it smells like artificial watermelon – which is not a scent I like very much at all. 🙁

  4. I absolutely love this lip mask! It feels so thick and luxurious. I love that their products are food grade, because I always end up eating my lip balms! Their amuse bouche formula is wonderful too. Haven’t tried the liquid lipsticks but those are on my “want list”.

  5. I’ve tried & love their amuse bouche lipsticks! Verbena and Meringue are my go-to daytime lip colours that I keep at my desk in my office!

I haven’t tried the lip masks but have heard so many great things!

  6. Ahhh I am DYING to try this lip mask! I have the Agave balm and simply adore it. I actually gave it to my BF since he enjoyed the texture for winter…. lucky guy. Why do I share things? LOL
There’s nothing better than waking up with soft, hydrated lips. Gotta love Bite for their food-grade ingredients and sleek packaging. 🤞🏻💋

    1. Hah, never share things you aren’t willing to part with completely! And you’re bang on – I love the sleek packaging and the fact that I’m less worried about licking my lip balm off my lips because of the ingredients!

  7. I have uber dry lips and always wanted to try their mask or the laneige one. The maritime winters wreck my skin! Lol. The color of the maple and scent look lovely.

    1. I’ve heard so many good things about the LaNeige one as well but I’ve yet to try it because I keep going back to Bite! Maple is definitely my favourite. 🙂

  8. Have I tried Bite Beauty before. 😄 I think I have singularly more Bite Beauty products than any other luxury brands. I stan for them so hard.

  9. I have tried just a sample on my birthday package. The lipstick was very creamy in which I liked a lot.

  10. I have a lip scrub and it doesn’t look anything like the one you got. Mine is almost solid and not ‘liquidy’ at all. Strange…
I also find myself licking my lips a lot when I wear Bite products. They taste too good!

  11. I LOVE the lip masks! I have one in Champagne, but holy cow, Maple sounds amazing. I also really like their Multisticks…Biscotti is a perfect shade for me.

Thanks for the giveaway, Chelle! ❤️

  12. Yes, I have tried Bite Beauty and I love their products and this is an amazing giveaway!!! Thank you for the opportunity!!!

  13. I got some samples of Bite sugar scrub and lip balm at Christmas… totally agree about the sugar scrub, but love the balm. Now you have me sold on getting the Maple flavour! Yum!

  14. Hi Chelle! I’ve never tried Bite Beauty 😱 but I really want to! Thank you for the chance ❤️😘

  15. I love Bite Beauty lipsticks- Amuse Bouche. Ah, the best! Most recently, I’m obsessed with their Prismatic Pearl Multi-sticks! I don’t find these stay at all on my skin, but are peeerfect for my lips. I love the sparkle.

  16. I have the original and I love it, though I’m tempted by the other flavors/colors for sure! I find that a little goes a long way with these so I’ve been using the same one forever. Would love to try the maple version!

    1. I know – they take for-freaking-ever to go through. I’ve been trying to work on my Maple one since I’ve had it since they launched it!

  17. You know I am OBSESSED with Bite Beauty and even though I have a stockpile of masks now… I need more.
