The big beauty of this collection is a gorgeous eyeshadow palette that’s shaped like a rainbow and smell kinda like… fruity pebbles?

  1. This packaging is so darn cute I would probably buy it just for that reason. The swatches look great and looking forward to Youtube post on them.

  2. Honestly, I remember getting into Too Faced two years ago, but at this point when they came out with this collection, that crossed the line for me. Don’t get me wrong, I like some colourful, sparkly and holographic stuff but what really gets me turned off is when unicorns keep getting pasted onto it from every brand, type of food, etc. and the trend I just hated it. Maybe I’m saying that because when it comes to mythical creatures, I like dragons better. I’ve seen some pretty sweet dragon makeup looks online but sadly, it’ll never be a thing that causes makeup brands to release a line of products for it. The beauty industry has always been about girlie stuff like mermaids and unicorns (I love mermaids since I was a kid and if I was a mythical creature of the deep, I’d definitely be one but still). Unicorns are not the only magical creature out there. There’s also fairies too.

But yeah, if this wasn’t so unicorny, I’d probably try it out but it’s way too unicorny for me and I don’t want to look like a sparkly unicorn, I want to look like a fierce dragon hahahahaha! Well, I guess I’m different. The shades in this palette are nice, but yeah the packaging is a turnoff, not something I can see on my vanity!

    1. Seriously, what is it about unicorns that make it so marketable? Well, now that it’s popular, it sucks. Not in a hipster way; it’s an overexposure.

I’m torn: I love the shades, not so much the packaging. Coming someone who bought the Hello Kitty anniversary palette. That was nostalgia, not quite the same.

I’m surprised there’s no Evil Queen stuff from Once Upon A Time considering the popularity of Regina in the fandom (probably because ABC/Disney hold the rights).

    2. I get you! For me the pull is more the rainbow side of things, but I do acknowledge that the unicorn trend has definitely been around for quite some time now!

  3. I was unsure about this palette at first, but I swatched it in person today at Ulta and WOW do pictures not do it justice! The colors were so smooth and buttery! They had so much shine and dimension I decided to pick it up! I’m so glad I found your swatches; If it wasn’t for your swatches I don’t think I’d have wanted to swatch in person! Thank you!
