I’ve recently started to branch outside my comfort zone into brighter eyeshadow. I love how it looks, but I always seem to not t quite get it right when it comes to picking out lipstick to go with it. Sometimes I think it leans to 80s even when it is a neutral or my lip just looks blah next to my eye makeup. I’d love to hear your tips on how to round out your look with blush and lipstick when rocking a bright eye. What lip and eye combos do you recommend?
Oh man, I have to tell you, it’s a lot of trial and run for myself with that. If I’m wearing a bright eyeshadow, I try to stick to fairly neutral colours on the lips and cheeks. On me, that means something with a hint of peach or peach to it, but nothing that’s going to be a LOT. So more often than not I’ll pair bright looks with something like Bite’s Fig lipstick. Of course, sometimes I’ll try something outside the box, and for me the best way to know if it works is taking a photo. I’ll look at that selfie and determine if I think it works or not.
