I wasn’t going to pick up the Kat Von D Pastel Goth palette. I didn’t NEED it, you know? And I was kind of dealing with holiday 2016 makeup burnout so I figured I would save my pennies for another palette launch somewhere down the road.
But then I saw Christine from Temptalia’s makeup look using the Pastel Goth palette and I was SOLD.
Fundamentally, although this is blatantly called a pastel palette, I think you’re going to find that overall these aren’t really pastels. To me they’re slightly muted brights, but they are still in fact QUITE bright. And that’s what makes me happy – they’re solid matte brights with a slightly different tune.
I need to stress that this is a limited edition palette that already sold out through its first life cycle. It’s currently in stock on Sephora, but I have no idea how long it will last. If you want this, don’t wait too long to get it!

Having used it today for the first time on my eyes, I have to say it’s a weird combo of shades. That blue is nearly electric, but the purples came out very muted. Not sure what to make of it right now… hmmmm.
So I was at Sephora on Saturday and got my make up done with this pallet and moved it. So I know how you feel.
