Challenge Week: Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons

Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Challenge Week

This palette needs little to no introduction as far as I’m concerned!

For the uninitiated, however, this is the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette and it’s the third iteration in Too Faced‘s chocolate-smelling Chocolate Bar lineup of palettes. This one features more of a pink theme (in the shadows and in the packaging), but overall it’s still a very neutral themed palette (which will make a lot of people happy!). Want swatches? Check out this post.

I don’t normally opt for these kinds of shades on my lids, so I made sure it was the first thing I reached for in this palette.

I was excited to use the pink shade in the palette and wanted to create a very dramatic look with it. I made sure to use all three pink shades included in the palette because I wanted to see if it would be overkill (I don’t feel it is).

Despite all the pinks, this palette actually has a purple and a darker navy in the mix which helps flesh out the diversity of this palette.

Although I did this look last, this look features my absolute favourite shade in the entire palette: Molasses Chip. It’s the kind of reflective pale bronze that’s creamy and easy to use and so, so beautiful on the lid.

  1. The pink look and the last look are my fave!! You are so talented, you find a way to rock and combine just about any shade without looking over done!

  2. Considering the palette looks like it has a lot of neutrals, the colours are amazing! You pull off colours so well! I’ve yet to try a Too Faced eye shadow palette, but it’s on my wishlist! I really love the last look, I’m much more fond of shimmer in eye shadow rather than all-neutrals but I guess it depends on the occasion!

    1. It helps if you really focus on the colour you want to use, and then add the neutrals as the crease/dimension shades I find. Do you think you’ll go for one of the Chocolate Bar palettes when you pick up a Too Faced palette? 🙂

  3. I am dying to get my hands on this palette! My local department store hasn’t stocked it yet but when it does i’m all over it! I love this idea too, i used to do a similar thing on my blog called challenge of the month but it got kind of lost! I love how many looks you managed to do 🙂

    1. Oh shoot, really? I hope they have some stock soon! I think I saw it being brought out in mid-January at Sephora, but I’m not sure about other retailers.

Glad you liked the looks! Helps me figure out how to use a palette. 🙂

    1. Thanks Jen! So true story for the hair on the last post: I actually had it back in a ponytail all day and it looks so ragged and I was like “how can I hide this???”, so I braided it and whacked it into a messy side bun. haha!

      1. You should work on blending it would make this look so much better and really clean it up. The colors are all muddled together please join Reddit makeup addiction it’ll help you learn so much!

        1. Your comment is slightly surprising as I’m usually quite praised for my blending. Which look are you referring to? There are five in this post and it’s also almost exactly a year old too, so perhaps my technique has changed over time.
I’m also subbed to Reddit’s makeup addiction – nice to meet you. 🙂

    1. It’s not a look I go for normally (hot pink on the eyes), but I do like how this one turned out. Maybe I’m turning you on to more and more colour? 😀

          1. Oh that’s awesome. Cranberry is such an awesome shade! Which reminds me that I need to break back into my MAC shade with that name..

  4. Hi, I really like the nude/brown looks you have here. I’m trying to decide between this palette and the chocolate bar one. Which would you recommend for nude/brown eye shadow? I already have Natural Eyes palette. Thank you!

    1. Hmmm I think my preference is towards the Chocolate Bar, but it’s definitely more warm than cool toned. So it may prefer on what kind of shades you prefer on yourself!

  5. I recently bought the bon bon pallete and had no idea how to use it! I found this post, I’ve tried the last look- and love it so much! I’m exciterd to continue to wear this! 🥰
